This fabric is a first for us. Not only is this the first time we’ve used a fabric from Casentino, but this is the first time we’ve ever made a "solid" colored coat. And it’s not even solid! We developed a very pronounced twill in using brown and cream yarns, but after the fabric went through the signature Casentino finishing process, those yarn colors got blended together beautifully. The fabric is a bit lighter than it’s Irish counterpart, but still doesn’t fail to get the job done for those tough winters. The Raglan sleeve is voluminous and allows for ease of movement and a great shoulder line. The collar is large (as all good collars are) and looks just as good flipped up to block the wind and frame the face as it does put down (strongly suggested to keep it flipped up though). There is a detachable throat latch for when things get really blustery. All in all, this is our ideal coat and will serve both its first and likely a couple of owners after that.
